This is a personal, extraordinary hunt for the Northern Lights, an experience you will never forget.

Professional, experienced aurora hunters will be your tour guides that organize the Northern Lights Chase minute by minute that is conducted in small groups in minibusses. This makes the experience more genuine and intimate.

This is a small-group, outdoor tour, tailored specifically to explore the Arctic nature while you are hunting for the Northern Lights. The main purpose here is to give you an authentic experience of the countryside outside of Tromsø while you are admiring the Aurora Borealis.

You are picked up by your local guides in the city center and start the tour by heading towards beautiful mountains, fjords and valleys.

On the tour you experience Tromsø wildlife and beautiful scenery, if the weather allows for it.

We make stops along the way, to take photos of the scenery and the unique nature and obviously to check if the Aurora Borealis can be seen.

We choose where to go depending on the weather conditions and where we can find clear skies. Sometimes we even go as far as to the Finnish and Swedish borders to find the right conditions for the lights.

We travel in small groups in a mini bus, which creates a special, cosy atmosphere which also helps us be more flexible on the road and as required reach the more remote and distant places on the countryside. You can expect an unforgettable experience as the arctic nature is pretty unpredictable and wild. Enjoy an insulated whole-body suit that will keep you warm, and snacks and hot drinks.

Your guide takes photos on the tour and we share them with you after the trip, free of charge. We also bring extra tripods along that you can rent for the evening to use for your own camera.

After the tour you will be taken directly to your hotel.

This tour is active from September 1st to March 31st, but for you who are here in Tromsø after March 31st make sure to also have a look at our specific post for maybe seeing them in April!

NB! If the sky is very cloudly on the night you have booked and the chances of seeing the Northern Lights are small, you will be offered to leave the bus and recieve a full refund. We follow the weather forecast closely, so you dont have to. If we do not give you a call before 19:00, the tour will go ahead and depending on the chances of seeing  Northern Lights, you will be offered to leave the bus and get a full refund or join the tour and get the 30 % discount if you dont see the Northern Lights.
